From January to April, the national state-owned and state-owned holding enterprises ① (hereinafter referred to as state-owned enterprises) economic operation momentum is good, the main benefit indicators maintained growth.

I. Gross operating income. From January to April, the total revenue of state-owned enterprises was 26,228.19 billion yuan, up by 7.1% year on year.

Ii. Total profits. From January to April, the total profits of soes reached 1,438.81 billion yuan, up 15.1 percent year on year.

3. Taxes payable. From January to April, soes paid 2,020.62 billion yuan in taxes and fees, up 1.1 percent year on year.

4. Asset-liability ratio. At the end of April, the debt-to-asset ratio of soes was 64.8 percent, up 0.4 percentage points.

① The national state-owned and state-holding enterprises mentioned in this month's report include central enterprises that the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the Ministry of Finance perform the responsibilities of investors, enterprises affiliated to central departments and units, local state-owned and state-holding enterprises in 36 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, cities separately listed in the plan), state-owned and state-holding enterprises affiliated to Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, excluding state-level financial enterprises.

(2) Due to the influence of objective factors such as changes in enterprise growth and decline and changes in equity ownership, the enterprises included in the total scope of state-owned and state-owned holding enterprises in different periods are not completely the same. The relevant data of year-on-year growth reported this month are calculated by comparing the data of enterprises in this year and the data of the same caliber in the same period of last year.
